Why Another Recruiting Firm? Why Now?

Truth be told, I’ve never had this long-held dream to own a business, let alone go through all the crazy-hard work of starting one. But today I find myself sitting in front of my (new) laptop, signing my (new) lease, and (literally) dreaming about logos and colors and names. 

And as much as I am terrified, I am excited.

Because I truly believe that the right person in the right role has the power to change everything—not just for the company, but for that person as well. And because I believe that recruiting can be different. That for the sake of the world, it must be different. 

For close to 15 years, I’ve been in the recruiting space. I’ve sat on both sides of the table—external and in-house—and I’ve seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. I’ve been a top biller, and I’ve built an in-house recruiting team from scratch, hiring over 400 people within the course of 4 years. I’m passionate about people—who you hire and how you hire. 

We’re here to forge a new path and to reimagine recruiting. To treat our clients and our candidates with honesty, dignity, and warmth. To never commit to a search that we don’t intend to work. To be a true partner, an extension of your company as much as is possible. To dig deep and understand your industry complexities and needs. 

And even though I didn’t dream of this from when I was an 8-year-old, I could not be more excited about what the future holds.

Every morning, I tell my children three things before they head off to school: “Love God, Love Others, and Work Hard.”  And at Forge, we’ll do the exact same thing. We’ll work hard with you and for you, empowering your success.
